Description
The 1893-S Morgan dollar is the undisputed king of the entire series. It has the lowest mintage of any issue, at only 100,000 coins. Additionally, most of the tiny mintage was desperately needed in circulation, meaning few survived in mint state. At NGC, the majority of examples are in the XF or lower range. However, the most commonly seen uncirculated grade at NGC is MS64 with 10 pieces, although it is likely many of those are from resubmissions hoping for the nearly impossible to obtain gem grade
