Gary Galbo

I am Gary Galbo,  founder and owner of Nashua Coins and Collectibles.  I  started in the coin business in 1979 with Small Cents rare coins, a full service Coin Dealer.  I started the business after completing my collections, in 1979 during  the first big silver and gold boom.

Dedicated to serving the collector,  we have operated in Nashua,  New Hampshire since 1985. We handle all US coins and currency with a special emphasis on small cents – Indian and Lincoln cent series, which were my first and lasting numismatic love. We have functioned as a mail order company since our inception while also working coin shows both locally and nationally.  Initially we conducted Mail Bid Sales in Coin World and Numismatic News magazines and expanded into a full service mail order catalog in 1984.

I operated a store front in Nashua, New Hampshire from 1996 through 2004, at which time I closed the store to work the national coin show circuit exclusively.  I also have extensive experience as a buyer in the major coin auction field and have served as a buyer/agent at major auction houses throughout the country.  In over 30 plus years in the business,  I have helped many collectors both, beginners and advanced, build some wonderful collections.

I have traveled the national show and auction circuit and have developed vast network of numismatic dealer resources.  I can service your want list through my extensive contacts around the country.

In 1987 I started Small Cents II Auctions.  At first, we hired a licensed auctioneer to call our auctions but in 1990, I became licensed myself and have been calling the auctions since that time.  We generally run 5 or 6 Coin auctions annually, often including stamps and other collectibles.  Our intention is to expand into collectibles auctions including antiques and art in the near future.

I am a life member,  #5565 of the American Numismatic Association and also have memberships in Central States Numismatic Society, Florida United Numismatists, New England Numismatic Association,  New Hampshire Numismatic Association, and Nashua Coin club in which I am past President.  I am a licensed Auctioneer in New Hampshire and have conducted over 125 auctions over the past twenty years.

In June of 2010,  I opened Nashua Coins and Collectibles, a retail store location at 202 Main Street in Nashua, New Hampshire, with a partner.  I subsequently bought out my partner in 2012. We offer complete line of rare coins, bullion items, supplies and a wide variety of collectibles. Small Cents is now a subsidiary of Nashua Coins and collectibles is devoted exclusively to auctions. We will continue to service the coin collecting community through my Nashua Coins website and storefront.  Nashua Coins and Collectibles is a collectibles outlet,  buying and selling Coins, Gold, Silver, antiques, Estate Jewelry, and objects of art.  We liken ourselves to the popular television show and call ourselves “The Nashua Pickers” where we buy and sell anything Old and Interesting!  If you visit the area be sure to stop by and see us at 202 Main Street in Nashua, New Hampshire.
